Sukhumvit Road is crowded with cars and pedestrians as large numbers of street vendors offer goods for Farangs and other tourists. The goods on display are mostly cheap clothing, jewelry and Thai souvenirs like wood carved sculptures and paintings. Late at night stalls are replaced by restaurants serving food and beverages until early in the morning for barflies and other creatures of the night. It's very safe to walk and shop on Sukhumvit Road during day and night time.
The busiest areas can be found between Skytrain BTS stations Asok and Nana. Most Sois offer Thai massage shops and restaurants. Although this is the main tourist strip of Bangkok, prices are still reasonable and there is always room for negotiations.
